Delight all of your senses at the Marin County Farmers Market.
From 8:00am to 1:00pm in the expansive parking lot of the last Frank Lloyd Wright
Commission, also known as the Marin County Civic Center. The Marin Farmers Market bustles with up to 200 local farmers, specialty purveyors, artisans and musicians.
Started in 1987, it is the third largest Farmers Market in California. And, still my favorite! I walk the aisles once through before buying, scoping out the most beautiful organic lettuce from nearby Bolinas, perfect organic apples and pears, bunches of bright sunflowers, while I feast on gorgeous color palettes, sweet and savory aromas, and sample the seasonal bounty. My second time through each farmerʼs stall, I come away with my baskets spilling over, ready to create the freshest most delicious meals possible. Come early for locally roasted coffee and fresh baked goods, or arrive with time for lunch. Ethnic food trucks abound as well as bbqʼd local seafood and organic beef. The French rotisserie chicken with roasted herb potatoes gets me every time. Perfect for lunch at the market, an afternoon picnic or Sunday supper.
